The goal of this blog is to show my progression in understanding the practices that guide basic writing, the impacts it has on students and teachers, and the forces that shape and influence the formation of basic writing. Though my written assignments, I continue to develop my own writing, and at the same time, gain knowledge in establishing the underlying writing process that students of basic writing experience in the classroom.

Literacy Narrative Draft #1

This is the first draft of my literacy narrative which begins to explore my relationship with reading and writing. As a child who had moved back to the United States to learn English, I begin to discuss how my grandmother became the facilitator of my literacy learning experience.
